Honolulu Restaurants with Affordable Brunch in an Easterly Atmosphere

I associate Easter with serenity and food with fun. While serenity and fun are unusually connected, there are restaurants in Honolulu County, which champion a potent mix of the two.

Common among these restaurants are spirit-soothing views spiced with food that is oh-so yummy in the tummy screaming the catchphrase “valueeee for moneeeey”!

Below are my top three restaurants in the county offering affordable Easter brunch in an Easterly setting.

Sam Snead’s Tavern and Restaurant. Situated on the stunning Navy-Marine Golf Course near the Honolulu International Airport (HNL), Sam Snead’s boasts of impressive selection of food, calming view of the lush-green golf course, and memorabilia of one of the all-time golf legends Sam Snead as a bonus. Upon entrance to the place, visitors are greeted by the gentle breeze, decorative fountains, and the legend golfer’s collectables strikingly lined on the restaurant’s walls and hallways.

I hosted two parties in this restaurant, and so far, I could not list one negative experience. The event coordinator and attendants were helpful, and according to my guests, the menu items were superb. For specifics on Easter brunch, you can visit their website.

Sam Snead’s offers brunch buffet every Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for only $20.95 per person. Children, five to 12 years are charged half the price while those under five can eat all they can at no cost (ooh la la they’re free!). The brunch buffet includes breakfast and cold items; oak grilled and house specialties; carving and pasta station; chocolate fountain and dessert station; and beverages. Those who want to try Sam Snead’s brunch offering this Easter are advised to make reservations.

Pearl Country Club (CC) Restaurant. If I have another restaurant in mind, which has delicious food, Easter ambiance, and is near HNL yet geographically outside the busy City of Honolulu, it will be Pearl CC Restaurant. The restaurant is 15-minute drive from downtown Honolulu and 20 minutes from the famous Waikiki Beach. View-wise, the restaurant has it all: a golf course and the panoramic view of the Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona Memorial, the USS Missouri, and the Waianae Mountain Range. Where in the world can you have all those historic sceneries in one? Only in Pearl CC Restaurant.

Here’s the catch, Pearl CC Restaurant’s experience is a little pricier than Sam Snead’s. The restaurant offers Easter brunch buffet with adult asking price at $30.95 and $15.50 for children age six to 10. The said rate is inclusive of Easter egg hunt activity and buffet, which will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. That for me, still falls within the catchphrase “value for money.” For more information, visit their website.

Pagoda Floating Restaurant. Of my top three restaurants offering affordable Easter brunch buffet, Pagoda Floating Restaurant is the one nearest to downtown Honolulu and the Ala Moana Center, the largest open-air shopping center in the world.

Pagoda’s Easter buffet offering has an outstanding selection of Hawaiian, Asian, and Southwestern U.S. cuisines. From roasted garlic and herb crusted prime rib, poke (raw fish salad) bar, to kimchi and oxtail fried rice, Pagoda Floating Restaurant reflects Hawaii’s diverse cultures and traditions.

Aside from a superb and ample selection of food, the restaurant is also famous for its Japanese koi pond and waterfall, which can be seen from the restaurant at 360-degree angle, giving guests a taste of tranquility and panorama exclusive to the place. Rate for an adult is at $38.95 and $18.95 for children age five to eight. For those who visited the restaurant, the price is worth it. For more information, visit their website.
